really great reviews for "Retaliation."
Some said this is a career-best performance for you.
This movie's equally challenging, obviously,
as an acting role,
but it's a very tough subject matter here.

-Yeah. What drew you to doing this film?

Orlando:
It's a very honest and 'A' telling of a character
called Malky, the character I play,
who was abused in childhood.
The writer, Geoff Thompson, was --
It's loosely based around
actual -- what happened in his life, his own experience
of abuse, childhood abuse.
And it was -- it was 'A'.
It was honest.
And it was very -- Um, it was very --
Exhales deeply ]
I have a pit in my stomach when I think about it.
I guess when I read the script --
And we sent it to many men's groups that help with --
There's a group called 1in6.
One in six men have suffered something similar
to what Malky's been through.
And men don't talk about their feelings or their emotions.
You know, and, unhealed, they go through the world,
and they have these explosive reactions to things
that come up in their life.
And so I felt this responsibility
for not only Geoff to tell his story,
but hopefully that there would be a kind of 'B' for men
who saw this, because many of these organizations
that I sent the script to said, "Please make this film.
However hard it will be, this will really help.
Even if only -- Even if we can screen it
for our men's groups, it would be phenomenal."
And, so, literally, you know,
when the movie really didn't get any traction initially
and then it was suddenly dropped,
in this period, it's kind of remarkable.
'Cause it's suddenly -- I'm here talking about this now.
