No.90 -And do the parents 'A' the kids?
Seth:
-Oh, man, my parents were here for the weekend,
and I'm realizing grandparents
are just a terrible influence on your children.
I'd rather my kids join a gang
than spend like three hours with my parents.
They came back the other day, and my 4-year-old just walked up
and said, "Daddy, I have a secret."
And I said, "What is it?"
He said -- He was like,
"Grandma says I can't tell you,
that secrets are things you can't tell."
And I'm like, "Why are you teaching him that?
Why are you cutting off information from the parent?"
And I want -- You know how you want your parents
to take your kids out and tire them out?
Like, my kids come back so amped up because my dad --
And, by the way, God bless my dad. He's getting older.
All he does is chase them for like three hours.
And so they come back like characters in a horror movie.
Their hearts are pounding.
They have, like, sweat, and they're just --
and they 'B' them -- they completely throw their diet off.
They'll come home and they don't want dinner.
You'll say to my parents like, "What did you 'B' them?"
And they'll be like, "I don't know, like a bag of Skittles
and half a cup of coffee."
You can't give kids that.
Jimmy:
-My mom and dad, for my sister's kids,
I remember they gave them pints of ice cream.
Pints, like, of Ben & Jerry's.
I go, "You give them a scoop."
They go, "Ah, let them live. Come on, they're kids."
I go --
Seth:
-Alexi's dad once said, when Ashe was one,
we came home and he had been watching him, and he said,
"Has Ashe ever had ice cream?"
And we said no.
And he said, "He has now."
And then he goes, "But don't worry. He liked it."
We wanted to say, "We didn't think he wouldn't like it."
Jimmy:
-There was no -- It was never on the table
Seth:
-It's not like, "Oh, we should hold off on ice cream
till he develops a taste for dairy and sugar."
